The Gunsmith Price Schedule

Basic Shop Rate: $55.00 per Hour
Machine Shop Rate: $95.00 per hour
Insurance and Documentation Fee: $15.00 for each firearm

Please note: Any item left longer than 180 days after services rendered will be considered abandoned and sold to cover the cost of the repair.

Bolt Action Rifles

• DETAILED CLEANING - $75.00: Includes disassembly; inspection; cleaning of bore, action and bolt body, lubrication; reassemble, and function test.

• SCOPE MOUNTING - $45.00: Mount, level, boresight scope.

• SWIVEL INSTALLATION - $60.00: Drill stock, install correct mounting hardware for swivels.

• CUT AND CROWN BARREL - $95.00: Disassemble, cut barrel, recrown off of bore line and reassemble.

• GLASS BED ACTION - $125.00: Disassemble, inspect, glass bed action to stock, clean up overflow, and reassemble.

• PILLAR BED ACTION - $65.00: Disassemble, inspect, install pillars with epoxy, clean up overflow, reassemble (pillars not included).

• RECOIL PAD INSTALLATION, STANDARD - $90.00…Disassemble, inspect, cut stock, and/or remove existing pad, fit new recoil pad, grind to fit stock profile.

• RECOIL PAD INSTALLATION, WITH SPACER - $145.00-$165.00: Disassemble, inspect, remove existing pad, and/or cut stock if necessary, fit new recoil pad, grind to fit stock profile.

• RECOIL REDUCER INSTALLATION - $110.00: Remove recoil pad and install mercury-filled recoil reducer. Not including parts.

• CHAMBER CAST - $80.00: Disassemble, clean chamber, cast mold, determine correct caliber, reassemble.

• DURACOAT COATING, ONE COLOR, BARRELED ACTION - $270.00: Duracoat, bolt, action, barrel, and bottom metal.

• SCOPE MOUNTING: $54.00: Mount, level, and boresight scope. Additional drill and tap for base if required: $20 per hole

• CHANGE HANDGUARD, STANDARD: $60.00-$145.00… Price depending on configuration of handguard and rifle.

• TRIGGER INSTALLATION: $50.00…Install trigger group.

• DURACOAT COATING, ONE COLOR: $280.00…Includes upper and lower receiver, forearm, trigger guard, and buttstock.

• SIGHT INSTALLATION: $40.00-$125.00: Includes removal of factory sight and replacement with aftermarket sights.

• GRIP CHANGE: $25.00: Includes removal of grip and install of new grips.

• DURACOAT COATING, ONE COLOR: $245.00: Includes frame, barrel, cylinder and crane.

Semi Auto Pistols

• DETAILED CLEANING - $65.00: Includes disassembly; inspection; cleaning of bore, frame and magazines; lubrication, reassembly and function test.

• SIGHT INSTALLATION - $40.00-$70.00: Includes removal of factory sights and installation of replacement sights. Prices vary due to fitting that may be required.

• ACTION WORK - $130.00-$150.00: Includes disassembly, cleaning, polishing internals, installation of trigger kit, lubrication, reassembly, function test and test fire. Prices vary based on complexity of trigger kit.

• BARREL CHANGE - $75.00-$130.00: Includes disassembly, inspection, fit barrel, lubrication, reassembly, function test and test fire. Price varies depending on the amount of fitting required.

• DURACOAT COATING, ONE COLOR: $270.00: Frame, slide, backstraps, magazine floorplates.

  • FRAME ONLY: $155.00

  • SLIDE ONLY: $130.00

  • BARREL ONLY: $70.00

1911 Pistols

• DETAILED CLEANING - $70.00: Includes disassembly; inspection; cleaning of bore, frame and magazines; lubrication, reassembly, function test, and test fire.

• SIGHT INSTALLATION: $55.00-$95.00: Includes removal of factory sights and installation of replacement sights. If changing from fixed to adjustable sights, machining is required and a price will be quoted.

• ACTION WORK - $120-$165.00: Includes disassembly, inspection, cleaning, polishing internals, tuning and adjusting springs, lubrication, reassembly, function test and test fire.

• BARREL WORK - $65.00-$180.00: Feed ramp polishing, fitting new barrel and link, compensator addition. Prices vary by work done.

• FRAME WORK - $55.00-$160.00: Prices vary based on work requested.

Terms

Per Virginia State Law, all parts are taxed at 6 %.

Cleaning prices may be increased, based on heavy fouling and/or rust.

Prices are for labor only.

Work-order parts can be sourced through DiNicolo and Schulz Firearms.

All pricing is subject to change without notice.

• We reserve the right to refuse any firearm work or work that we deem would render a firearm unsafe.

• We DO NOT remove or deactivate any firearm safeties.

• Parts installed with thread locker will incur an additional removal charge.

• Firearms left over 30 days will incur a $10 per month storage fee.

• Firearms left for repairs may only be picked up by the customer whose name is on the claim check. (No exceptions). Lost claim checks will result in a $12 fee.
